Sergio Piumatti is a member of the ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) and a self-taught photographer. He started photographing in 1983.

In 1985 he was under the 8% finalist in the Photographer's Forum Magazine Photo Contest (Over 5700 photographers - 16,939 entries) with publication in The Best of Photography Annual: 1995.

From 1989 Sergio worked on building up contacts with Stock Photo Agencies and is currently represented in the USA, England, Switzerland, Germany and New Zealand.

From 1989 he contributed as a freelance writer and photographer, with reportages from China, Thailand and Indonesia, to Martial Arts Magazines in Germany, Italy and the USA and with travel stories on South East Asia to Quest Magazine of Apa Publications, Singapore. For Apa Publications he also photographed in 1991 the Apa Insight Pocket Guide on Milan, Italy.

Corporate clients include Buitoni (pasta producer), Cunard Cruse Line in USA, England and Germany, Crystal Cruses, Silversea Cruises, the Great Western Directories and LaQuinta Hotels, Renaissauce Cruses, and the cover of 817 Telephone Book.

October 1994 Sergio established DESTINATIONS - Location & Travel Photography and began marketing his own photography.

Sergio is at this date still on assignment with Fort Worth Convention and Visitor's Bureau for the extensive renewal o f the CVB's picture library.

Sergio Piumatti is fluent in Italian, German, English and French.
